Thanks a lot to him for his valuable time.

Now, Let's start the interview without any delays.

Question 01: What really makes you so passionate about the industry?

Answer:

You know when I grew up the only thing I had in my Life after my family was films. Films will always remain my true love. I was fascinated by films from a very young age and it was the only way to escape from my daily to daily life. Movies have always been a very big part of my life. And this whole life is like a very big film to me and every person I meet in this life looks like a character to me whenever I meet someone I feel like I am looking at them through a camera. I have a problem that I keep comparing people with actors. You know that's how life is for me. I eat, sleep, and live this business. For me cinema is a tool and I want to use that tool to highlight the issues and modern day problems of our society.

Question 02: Is it harder to get started or to keep going? What was the particular thing that you had to conquer to do either?

Answer:

Actually both! As they say that the first step is always the most difficult one and you always need some extra gas to keep the engine running. The first thing that I had to conquer for my first project was my mindset...and after that the rest of the things follow. Being from an events background helped me organize things easily...but the most difficult part was getting the right performance out of the actors and the expected desired result from the project.

Question 03: What was the most important lesson you had to learn that has had a positive effect on your film?

Answer:

What was the most important lesson you had to learn that has had a positive effect on your film? " Planning and Teamwork is the key to success."

Question 04: What films have been the most inspiring or influential to you and why?

Answer:

Now that’s gonna be a very big list. Well, most of Alfred Hitchcocks work had great influence over me…specially his films like Vertigo, Dial M for Murder, Birds etc. I mean this guy was a genius and I must say that he was one of the rare filmmakers in the world who could create the whole film in a single room with only two characters and the conversations would be so interesting that you would be still guessing that was going to happen next. And one of my topmost and all time favorite films will be ‘Oldboy’ by Park Chan Wook. And mark my words…this film is not for the faint hearted. Everything about this film is just amazing…whether it is the performances, the score, the tone of the film and even the violence. The film needs to be seen to be believed…this modern day oedipal tragedy is one hell of a ride. It is an epic masterpiece that needs not to be missed.

Question 05: As of the current situation, film industries have been suffering for such a long time. What action should be taken to overcome the crisis and to reset the market?

Answer:

It is a slow process and the economy will take time to recover from this ongoing pandemic. I think the government should offer support to artists and filmmakers…because, these people are the backbone of our society. Just imagine what all would we do and how this whole world would look like if there was no art in it. If capitalists and politicians run the country then artists are the people who run the show. This world would’ve been long dead if there would be no art in it.

Question 06: Why independent artists are so underrated? Is there any shortage of talent or something else? (Your own opinion)

Answer:

The world is full of artists and talent can be found in every street and corner. The only thing is that not everything is ‘Commercially Viable’ or deemed as saleable according to some people or organizations. But that does not mean that if it sells…it is art! A lot of great artists in the world…Do not have exposure, money and a great PR team behind them to help them sell their creativity. And on the other hand, a lot of trash artists are making record numbers nowadays. Mediocrity is the new masterpiece! People nowadays are more attracted towards titillating stuff and soft-core porn like videos are being sold in the name of art and music. And as you know, shit draws a lot of fleas. So this is one of the challenges in the arts in the 21st century.

Question 07: Any message or suggestions for newcomers?

Answer:

"You have to believe. You have to stick to your guns!"

Well that's it for today. We both have tried our best to make it clear and bit more informative than before.  MR. Amit was so humble and confident with his words. We apologize if there was anything that might've hurt someone's personal beliefs.

Thank You So Much For Your Patience.
